Damn CH3 new upcoming lakorns and pairings look promising as hell, they re about to give CH7 a run for their money, too bad CH7 automatically wins for having Weir and Mik but good job CH3

With many leading ladies leaving CH7, I hope it gives the opportunity for new faces to appear and more opportunities for Sammy and Now.

Gosh, the title for Pong’s lakorn is like the typical lakorns that he is in lol. Also, I know it’s unlikely but wouldn’t mind Mint being in Plerng Payu with Great. I bet they will cast someone newer though.
Ice Preechaya is in it  :sad6:

Lol. I had a few good laughs reading through some of the comments. Lmfaooo! I haven’t been in here for a while. Lol.:risas3::pancarta: Everyone and their opinions on the chemsitry part got me giggling so bad. Lol

I’m not surprised with Toey and Alek’s break up, but more so shocked on Taew and her bf of 15 years?? Like omg?! What happened there? Did I miss something? Can anyone fill me in?

Does anyone know if p’Da is filming anything? She’s been kind of in a hiatus. I haven’t seen anything from her in a while. AnneThong seems to be replacing her for the drama category. I wonder when p’Da is going to have a new lakorn?

I like her production House.

Isn't Bright was gaining massive popularity with no of followers increasing and getting commercial and then this happened? This put a new meaning of the faster you rise the faster you fall.

I agre. I too was glad that their lakorns together have been flopping, hoping it would force them to branch out. I think Yaya is trying a bit, but Nadech is barely doing the absolute bare minimum.

If anything I feel like his regressed a lot over the past few years. His acting is stiff and bland and he lacks chemistry with his leading ladies. But I guess he has no incentive to work hard. His a favourite of Ch3’s, he has a large loyal fanbase that will support him and make excuses and blame anyone and anything else if things aren’t successful. Plus despite his bad acting (his a good looking block of wood) he always gets awards, wether they’re popularity or ‘best actor’ awards.

Also someone correct me if I’m wrong but Nadech, has the most or at least one of the highest number of endorsements as well being one of the highest payed.

He has no incentive to push himself.
I’m glad Yaya has started to stretch herself a bit. I think she’s like the most popular female actress in Ch3 (at least she’s definitely the channels favourite) with the most endorsements but female celebrities have a shorter shelf life and aren’t given as much leeway as male celebrities and as they get older female celebrities are pushed out of getting lead roles faster than older male celebrities.

I do disagree with it being the channels fault. Nadech and Yaya allowed themselves to be typecast because they benefited from it. They could have still followed the Yadech buzz and pushed themselves as actors. As the Ch3’s favourites I’m sure they have the top pick of scripts. Both chose the easy way to make as much money as possible.

The newer generation makes it all about couples and it is a high market pretty much every industry is at it. Most fans nowadays aren't much into their acting style but whether the couple is dating or not. Once they ship they feel like they are part of the couple and the fans would happily push the ship across the Pacific Ocean themselves. Celebrities also thrives in this environment. They don't necessarily have to be top performer but if luck is on their side they land a role with someone the fans want them to date then fame rises instantly. And of course, you see them try to ride it out as long as possible because that's where opportunities grow.

Celebrities have gotten smart about it. I mean, why would some couple tortured the fans of playing this hide and seek game of them being together or not. Little clue every so often keeps the fans on their toes and them doing all sort of investigations and the buzz continues on...only at the end some are like, nope, we were never together. And other couples are admitting to dating for years but yet the game is such a money machine that they can't help but to be involved. Thinking about it it's basically a triangle love affair lol. The channel, the couple and the fans are all in it together. One of them doesn't realize they are the bigger push or problem of them all.

Channel 3 orginally is at fault for Yadech. Because when they started out they were kids. The channel took it upon themselves to market them as a couple. When celebrities started out I don't think they have much of a choice of what goes on with them. They don't come in with immerse power where they can do whatever they want. The channel saw what Yadech brought to the table and bullet train towards the tunnel. But once they gotten older and their fame are established that's when the fault shifted to Yadech. They played their relationship game for years. And stuck together like glue. Therefore, Nadech is always in his comfort zone.

Is the crown princess considered as a flop? the rating was at 4 to 6, pretty much the same as MHIL even slightly higher and It was popular internationally. As far as i remember only LLSR had poor rating. The others were doing ok. But the one with nadech and matt flop so hard

They already broke up and Taew is rumored to be with a hi-so.

The love team is no joke. I been watching here and there of Liza and Enrique. The fans are I'm an uproar if anything or anyone dare goes after their love team. I used to like Kim and Gerald until he cheated on her. That was some drama played out. Maine and Alden didn't think they would make it. Thai is a bit more liberal with the couplings but Filipinos are on a new level.
I seen a few movies... from Netflix ... but ya.. they r crazy there

Nadech's last 2 lakorns (before the one with Matt) averaged 4.74% and 3.45% respectively which may not seem all that bad but considering their scale- the marketing and hype surrounding both lakorns, the results were lacklustre at best. And they were with Yaya so there is no excuse like koojin fans being turned off. In terms of the numbers, you're looking at them with 2020 eyes, ratings at CH3 have been declinling. Rating numbers that would be considered bad just five years ago are considered good now. I mean LLSR is actually the perfect example for that. We're both in agreement that it had poor ratings, yet if a lakorn aired today with those exact ratings, I'd say it was doing really welll. I absolutly would not consider the rating poor.

Another major difference is that the crown princess and LLSR were very big, highly promoted productions with NY- the channels biggest stars and koojin. Expectetations were sky high, they were being promoted like crazy, marketing and PR going into overdrive. The result? One lakorn got poor ratings and the other got below average ratings at best.. Considering all of that I'd call it a flop.

I'm not saying that MHIL wasn't hyped or promoted but nowhere near to the the extent of NY's last two lakorns. Like MLFTS everyone involved expected NY's last two lakorns to be huge hits.

This thread is interesting. Some comments and various news informations are helpful and clarified what I am curious about. Some comments are cringing.

The pairing of Ny never really had high ratings to begin with. They weren’t the highest in the 4 heart series. The intent of pairing NY is never about bringing in ratings but solely for them to be Ch3 cash cows. And tbh it works, why stop something when it’s still working. But it’s at the cost of NY not growing individually as actors.

I feel like Nadech is content in his career which is why he’s not growing unfortunately. He doesn’t seem like the type to try and keep himself at the top. He’s good whether he’s #1 or not. He lacks the ambition that Yaya has which is why his career is flatlining in terms of his acting and stuff. Yaya always seemed wayyyy more ambitious than him. Like there’s nothing wrong with not wanting to be ambitious but it’s frustrating to see Ch3 promote someone so hard that isn’t putting equal effort into it. He’s lucky his pairing with Yaya is still popular cause if they ever break up all their fans are gonna go to her and that’s facts. He really has the short end of the stick with their fandom but that’s really no one else’s fault except his. They both could’ve easily modeled their careers around like MK’s where they provide their fans with enough lakorns to keep them entertained but also establishing boundaries with their fans and being stern with them about wanting to work with others. Unfortunately a lot of NY fans hate when Nadech works with others because of how he handled his career. I literally saw the other day they made drama about Bow posting a picture wearing the same dress that Yaya has worn. I was like seriously  They're already targeting her!

It's ridiculous whenever fans make a fuss of celebs who got to wear the same outfits. Lol clothes are everywhere.

Yeah when I saw that I was like you guys are past the point of saving if you’re hating on someone for wearing the same dress as another person

Do CH3 take a cut when actors get commercial.?Because I’ve read somewhere they don’t but planning to since their actors are mostly well paid for that.

CH3 really gunning for Bow, sidelining all other CH3 actresses to give her Nadech and acting under ActArt the moment she step on the building.
