Yep kan’s married with two children I believe. oh my. Don’t do stuff just cuz others do it and/or say to do it. Do intense research and be smart. We all have our free will and choices, but even celebrities don’t know everything and/or aren’t all good ppl. Maybe these celebrities didn’t know, or maybe they knew what they were involved in which they should be responsible for.

I'd like to think the Min/Kan/Sam didn't know or maybe they didn't know and also didn't care? It is reasonable to me that celebs who sign on as presenters don't bother digging into the business practices. Even if they did, its not like shady businesses are open about their shadiness so how would they know? But maybe a lesson for all to be less money-focused and be more picky.

Of course I think those 3 signed on with some management titles so they should at least know better that a management position means something different from presenter, even if they are fake titles.

Thought Sam was pretty much established in life. He has been around for so long and made a good name for himself, so why tangled up in something like this? All that work from your back in the days is pretty much gone. Min and Kan will probably disappear from the ET world. It is hard to come back from something like this because it's huge.

Its a multilevel marketing (MLM) business and sell beauty and health supplements, similar to Amway if that sounds familiar. Or some insurance companies are like that. There's always a thin line between MLM (legal) and pyramid schemes (illegal). Anyway it sounds likes this CEO was just dumb. To be a legal MLM you have to register your business as an MLM to start with. This dude registered his business as something else, and that is where he went wrong. So now essentially it's counted as running a pyramid/fraud. If he had just registered his business as an MLM, everything would've been fine. Oh and you also can't require that they recruit people. The people can go out and recruit, you can't just put it down on contract that they have to do so. He couldn't find a competent lawyer that could've told him all of this?

The whole business model is shady, legal or not, but I also feel like people should know better too. You go to an arena with 10,000 other people all selling the same thing and somehow think you're ALL going to get rich?? It's not even selling a daily essential that everyone needs but face cream? Unless the person uses up a big jar of face cream every day, there's got to be some level of willful ignorance going on.

Min's lawyer talked to the press about her first night in jail. She barely ate because she has stomach problems, and she is under a lot of stress right now because she's still getting used to her new environment. She and the others are not allowed to see family yet, only their lawyers. They're all wearing prison uniforms now although they haven't cut their hair yet.

Yes, ppl can the ones who are scammed has free will but like many many others all around the world--if your watch the rich get rich and they tell you this is a good investment, you may think okay if it is working for them, why wouldn't it work for me? That's why scams exist. For the rich to get richer and the poor to stay poorer. It's sad indeed and I hope they face consequences.

Look at America, and the state of its politics and cult that we know as Maga. You have this nepo rich orange man taking his believers that a is happening bc of x, y, and z... and they are taking it as the truth. He's got ppl believing that the democratic party can control hurricanes.... when you got a following and use it to influence those who follow you, it won't be hard for them to take your "advice".

@byebye I am someone who is political so I can really get into it but I won't too deeply. Vote blue, no matter who is an annoying phrase but it's the idea to vote to keep democracy. But maga is a cult, they're not true Republicans if you know any true Republicans, Trump is not it. By definition, a cult is any misplaced or excessive admiration for a person or thing. His followers don't truly care about America. They care about white supremacy and only about Trump. Rioting and storming the capital...a result of that misplaced energy for him instead. But again, I won't go into it bc it's not the place for it.

Lol my intentions were only to compare how easy it is to lead your followers into believing anything which glitzy celebrities like Min can easily do. Do I think she meant intentional harm? No. But do I think she was aware to a degree that it was possibly just a scam, heck yes. I just don't think she was thinking that the amount of ppl whose livelihood that was going to affected was doing to be this massive. I just hope this people are able to get some degree of restitution back even if it's 5% of it

I think the 3 celebs knew it was an "MLM" and is questionable like all MLMs are but since its a legal/accepted type of business they probably didn't dig into it more. I don't think they knew the CEO was running it illegally. Did they know how much damage it would lead to? Some of the stories about people mortgaging their lives and first born to basically sell face cream and health supplements sound a bit crazy. Would it have made a difference to them whether it is scamming people out of their lunch money vs their entire life savings? That I don't know

I'd be thinking why is this random person sharing the secret sauce with me and want me to get rich too? lol.

That's the thing about pyramid schemes. Where do you draw the line between the scammed or not? Like the ones near the top of the "pyramid" or even middle, they made a ton of money by recruiting a lot of people under them. Did they not scam the people they recruited? Some news said 2 of the women who claimed to be "victims" made millions (in baht) monthly, from recruiting a lot of people to be under them but they'll probably skate. If you're at the bottom or didn't have any recruits, I say that is clear enough but the others? Pyramid schemes work in the first place because there are people who are willing to go out and recruit others.

So far the authorities have seized around 220 million baht from the 18 people that have been arrested. It includes cars, gold, electronics, and property deeds etc.

Kan has 1 Mercedes, 1 Porsche, 1 Ford Mustang, 1 Kia, 1 iPad mini, and various products of the company seized totaling to 17 million baht.

Sam has 1 electronic device seized which was a total of 20,000 baht.

Min has an LV bag seized which was a total of 125,000 baht.

Currently Kan and Min's savings and investment accounts are being requested by the authorities to be additionally seized totaling to around 48 million baht.

This amount is just what they have so far, the total will probably be more as the investigation goes on.
