I was trying to figure what happened. He barely post anything and rarely in the limelight so I wonder what was said.
From my understanding, He didn’t do anything, the guy was just chilin’ doin his own thing.
And we know CH3 likes to pair random artist for their calendar and Pope happens to be paired with Aom Ling Ling, Pie Ranida and Mint. Basically CH3 doing CH3 stuff.
Then some fans commented on how they like to see Pope act with Ling Ling, normal thing fans do but since Aom and Ling Ling are now the super popular GL couple.
Some of their crazy fandom starts slandering Pope, digging all his past misdeeds which like 7-8 years ago just to retaliate on the suggestion that he should act with one of the girl.
I think it got to the fans even posting about the girl he was involve at that time which is now happily married. I guess that is what trigger the legal action as it now starts dragging people who are not even in the business.

ah… I think this last part must be why. If not for this I think they would have continued to be quiet that seems to be Pope’s way himself… stay quiet, these things will pass. I saw parts of the rest you described on twitter but twitter is such a mess now I’m sure I didn’t see most of it. My take was because Pope didn’t do anything, it was some of LingOrm’s fans that went a bit too far in attacking Pope. And some Pope’s fans were a bit much in attacking those fans too but on one hand, I get them? Literally the man was not doing and he’s living his media hermit life and he got viciously attacked online.
Even yesterday after CH3 released that statement regarding Pope, fans still went after the channel for not protecting actresses. Hopefully this will cool everyone’s heads because wtf really. Fans losing their mind fighting while their stars are just not doing anything.
Remember the Nang Nak Phra Nakhon drama that CH3 shelved because the actors were quite unknown and they re-run something else. Well after the fans make noise,CH3 decided to show it, guess what… it is doing so well in the rating. Much better than their top tier actors drama.
It’s just show how stupid those executives are. A drama that do well at this end of year is actually impressive without any top tier actor and a actresses.

It’s doing well? That’s good. Happy for the fans and for the n’ek also because OMG she has the worst luck in having her shows frozen.
I really don’t get ch3 often decided to not air shows that they have already finished shooting and editing. in the case of Nang Nak, they had even promoted on-air date previously! Isn‘t not putting it on air just a waste of money?

@Amikou OMG those fans did that? That‘s ridiculous. I know they’re big but like the rare times I was on twitter I saw other fans being annoyed by LingOrm fans. It’s only during this calendar saga that I saw the extent of how annoyed others are by them. They made such a big deal of protesting the possibility of LingLing working with Pope (which, honestly is barely a hint of an idea). Dragged up all sorts of accusations against him, said they’d rather not have the girls work with guys, and make like their opinion counts so much cos this duo is basically so successful that it’s holding up the channel now. LOL When there were some objective voices who were saying they shouldn’t say that because actors should be working with everyone there were some who said that NY worked so long and often with each other and they’re still fine.

Apparently they were the ones arguing with Pa’jaew a few months ago online about supposed favoritism casting. I think they were wondering why LingLing wasnt selected to be n’ek?

Yep, they did. I get it, they’re popular but definitely not the NY level of popularity. They’re basically new and nobodys but their fans acting like LO are most popular it-couple when they’re not even a year in their koojin. And people were saying NY fans are crazy lol they’re mild comparing to those BL and GL fans.

They even criticized CH3 because of the calendar signing venue and setup. They said LO bringing tons of money to the channel and the channel not giving them royal treatment giving them like a kindergarten setup (monobloc chairs, small venue) for the fansign event. They thought it was exclusive to LO not knowing that ch3 annual calendar signing event has been like that for ages and the signing event is not exclusive to their pair only. Most of these rabid fans are international fans who doesn't even know how Thai entertainment works and just focuses on their selfish desires of having exclusivity with their pair. The toxicity in the GL and even BL fandom is what makes me not part of it.
I love LingLing when she was doing straight roles and being a support to Mark or Kim lakorns. The girl has potential and has the beauty but I'm sad that the GL fans are trying to box her in that pair and CH3 can't do anything about it cause they are in demand pair now.
lol forreal? Tons of money??? They should touch some grass. Those fans gotta learn how to be humble. Fans are big part of koojin success after all.

Yeah. I saw it on Twitter yesterday. They were scolding and mocking ch3 for the calendar signing venue. Some of them really are so entitled. They want the channel to focus only on LO. Some fans even said that the channel isn't promoting them well (despite all the fan meetings and events for the two of them).
