SUMMARY

24 years ago, a woman named Kaewphila fell in love with who she thought was an ordinary man named, Tonmai. Tonmai is actually the Crown Prince Inkharat of the Kingdom of Viraman. While Kaewphila was two months pregnant, Tonmai was forced to leave her in order to take his place as the new king of Viraman. Months later, Kaewphila delivered twin boys but left them at an orphanage because she couldn't support them as she was poor. As fate would have it, the infant boys were adopted into wealthy families and Kaewphila herself, met and remarried a wealthy businessman and had another son.
Years later, King Inkharat goes to Thailand for business purposes and also decide to visit the small, old house that he and Kaewphila used to live. He learns from a neighbor that Kaewphila had gave birth to twin boys and moved out shortly after delivering the babies. Shocked that he has twin sons, who are the rightful heirs of Viraman, King Inkharat is hesitant to find them.

Prologue

It was nearly midnight when Kaewphila approached the entrance of Fahsai Orphanage. Making sure that no one was around, she stooped down carefully and placed a basket containing her two newborn babies on the front porch. The babies, both wrapped snugly in yellow and blue blankets, were fast asleep.
"I'm so sorry but this is the best I can do for you," sobbed Kaewphila. "I love you and wish we will reunite one day."
She bent over and planted a kiss on both babies before deserting the quiet street. Then, after wiping her tears with her shirt sleeve, Kaewphila threw her duffel bag over her shoulder and was never seen or heard from again.

Chapter One

"Aww! How adorable!"
"Naruk jung loey ah!"
All the maids and servants of the Thepborisuts peered over at their new young master, who was comfortably asleep in their madame's arms. Khun Ying Ornrawadee smiled and held her new baby tightly against her chest.
"Is it a boy or girl?" asked an elder maid.
"Boy," replied Khun Chai Warut, with a bright smile. "My new son."
One of the elder maids clapped her hands together and squealed in excitement.
"What's his name?" asked another maid.
"Prarop ja," replied Khun Ying Ornrawadee. "Prarop Thepborisut."
"What a beautiful name," proclaimed another maid.
"But are you going to hide his true identity forever?" asked the elder maid.
Khun Chai Warut stood up from the sofa.
"This is his true identity," he said. "Prarop Thepborisut. He's my son and the sole heir of Thepborisut Outdoor Advertising."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"I think he looks like an Andy."
"I think he's absolutely precious."
"Or Andy Chanon."
"He is such a doll."
"I've got it! Andy Chanon Parker!"
Nucharee looked up at her eccentric husband, who had a bright smile on his face.
"What did you say?" asked Nucharee.
"I say we name him Andy Chanon Parker," suggested Michael Parker, Nucharee's husband. Nucharee thought for a moment and smiled.
"Yeah, that's cute," she said. "We can call him Andy. Who do you think he looks more like? Me or you?"
"Me, of course," answered Michael. "He will be handsome just like his father."
"Nee khun, we shall adopt a daughter too so she will grow up beautiful like me," Nucharee suggested.
"Hmm...we'll see how well this one goes first," said Michael.
"What do you mean by that?" asked Nucharee.
"I mean are going to hide it from him forever?" asked Michael. "He does have the right to know where he actually came from."
"Mai," said Nucharee, sadly. "He's my son. He's our son. We shouldn't tell him things that make him think otherwise."
"You're right," Michael agreed. "He's our son, Andy Chanon Parker."

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It had been three years since Kaewphila had abandoned her twin sons in front of Fahsai Orphanage. Three tormenting years. She was now married to a wonderful man, Jason Williams, the father of her one year old son, Sunny Tawan Williams. These past years that they had been together, Kaewphila kept that secret from Jason. She was afraid that if he found out, he would leave her. Kaewphila decided to take a trip to Thailand to fulfill her curiosity of her twin sons' current state. As any mother would, she wanted to know how her sons were doing.
"A trip to Thailand?" grunted her husband, Jason. "That's random."
Kaewphila explained that she wanted go pay a visit to her parents' graves.
"Shall I come too?" he asked. "We could also take Sunny to go visit his grandparents. I'm sure they'd be glad to see him."
"No," answered Kaewphila. "I think he's too little right now."
"Well I guess you're right," said Jason, holding little Sunny up and tossing him in the air.
Sunny giggled and stuck his right hand into his mouth.
"I'm sure this little tyke would keep me busy," said Jason, laughing.
Kaewphila smiled. It was a good sight. Father and son playing together. If only she could spend time with her twin sons like that.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Two days later, Kaewphila found herself staring at the same sign she had stood before three years ago. However, the whole place appeared newer as if it was rebuilt. A door opened and a happy looking couple walked out with their new bundle of joy, an infant. They looked at the childless Kaewphila and smiled at her. Kaewphila returned the smile and congratulated them on their newest addition to the family.
"Thank you," they said simultaneously, and walked away.
"Yae Kaew chai mai?"
Kaewphila turned around to her left and a familiar, middle aged woman stood there staring at her. She did not know how long the woman was standing there.
"Yae Kaewphila," said the woman. "Is that you?"
"Bpa Yim!" exclaimed Kaewphila, throwing her arms around the old woman. "Yes, it's me, Kaewphila."
"Goodness, you've gotten so pretty I almost didn't recognize you!" cried the Bpa Yim. "Where have you been? How have you been? Where are your sons?"
Kaewphila had expected that these questions were coming. She wished she could provide a short explanation but did not know where to start.
"What are you doing in front of the orphanage?" asked Bpa Yim.
Kaewphila exhaled slowly and tried to fight back her tears of regret.
"I...I left my sons here three years ago."

It turns out Kaewphila's twin sons had been adopted three years ago.
"Do you know who adopted them?" asked Kaewphila.
"Yes," replied the young woman at the front desk. "We keep records of all the children who are adopted. What was your sons' names?"
Kaewphila's sudden surge of excitement died away. That's when she realized that she did not provide her twin sons a name the night she left them on the porch.
"I didn't," began Kaewphila. "I didn't name them."
"Arai na Yae Kaew?!" gasped Bpa Yim in shock. "You didn't name them?!"
Kaewphila hesitated.
"I...I left them at the front door," said Kaewphila finally.
The young woman seemed puzzled.
"I'm sorry ma'am but I think the only person that can help you with that is Mae Duang," said the young woman, apologetically.
"Well where is she?" asked Kaewphila anxiously.
"She has been reassigned to Bangkok when this old building caught fire three years ago," replied the young woman. "As far as I know, she was the one that found your twin boys. All of the children were reassigned to different provinces but I'm not sure where your sons were sent."
Kaewphila wanted to cry. What had she done?

"Crying is not going to help you Nang Kaew," said Bpa Yim later after they had left the orphanage.
"I'm a terrible mother," sobbed Kaewphila.
For the past twenty minutes, she had sat there in Bpa Yim's small, pitiful living room crying with Bpa Yim at her side trying to comfort her.
"Nang Kaew aoey," began Bpa Yim. "Don't blame yourself for what you did. You had no choice. If Ai Tonmai didn't leave you...
"Please don't mention him," said Kaewphila, wiping her eyes with a Kleenex.
"Okay well let's talk about what you've been up to and what you're going to do now that you don't even know where your sons went?" asked Bpa Yim.
"I'm going to return to New York," replied Kaewphila. "I will try to research and contact the orphanage and adoption agencies from there."
"Gaw dee na," said Bpa Yim, nodding. "It's better than not doing anything at all."
She patted Kaewphila on the shoulders.
"I'm glad to see you happy now," said Bpa Yim.
"Even though my life is better I am still unhappy about and regret what I did to my twins," said Kaewphila. "I miss them so much."
"Let's hope that they have been adopted by a wealthy family and living happy," said Bpa Yim. "I'm sure you will see them again one day."
"I hope that too," said Kaewphila, wiping the last of her tears.
She couldn't just sit there and cry. Two parts of her were lost in this world waiting for her to find them. However, Kaewphila felt that they didn't deserve a mother like her. They deserved better.

Chapter Two

"Wow, how beautiful!"
Roong peered out of her window trying to catch the first glimpse of Thailand. The blanket of clouds partially blocked the view down below but she could make out the buildings, people, and landmarks. She had seen them before in pictures and now she couldn't wait to set foot on Viraman's magnificent neighboring country.
"Seems like you've never been to Thailand before," said the young gentleman seated beside to her.
"Yep, this is my first time," said Roong, happily. "How about you?"
"Oh this is my home," replied the young gentleman, proudly. "I was born and raised here."
"That's nice," said Roong. "I'm from...
She stopped and thought for a moment.
"I'm from Viraman," said Roong.
"Wow really?" asked the young gentleman, a bit surprised. "You're the first person I've met from there."
"Yeah," said Roong, nodding her head.
"So what brings you to Thailand?" asked the young gentleman.
"Erm...uh...I'm here for vacation," said Roong. "How about you? Where are you coming from?"
"Nice," said the young gentleman. "I just flew from America. It has been six years since I've been home."
"Wow," said Roong, gaping when he said six years. "Did you go study abroad?"
The young gentleman nodded.
"Krub," he added. "What's your name?"
"My name is Roong," replied Roong.
"That's a very common name," said the young gentleman. "What's your last name?"
"Uhm...you can just call me Roong," said Roong. "How about you?"
"My name is Andy."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After their plane had landed approximately an hour later, Roong and Andy departed ways. He wished her luck and lots of fun on her vacation and even gave her a Thai dictionary. Then, they walked off in opposite directions.
"Hmm...what now?" Roong asked herself.
Her stomach growled loudly but luckily the noise of the crowd of passengers around her drowned the sound of her immediate hunger. She decided that it was best to exchange her Viraman currency for Thai baht first.
"Thank you," Roong said to the teller at the window.
She stuffed the crisp Thai money into her large black bag and walked outside the airport.
"Taxi!"
She flagged down the next yellow cab and commanded him to take her to the best hotel in the city.
"Yes ma'am," the driver nodded.

Bangkok was a bustling city and growing. As the driver drove, Roong snapped pictures of the places, people and buildings of interest around her. She would make a photo book of her trip later when she returned home. Suddenly, the taxi came to a stop in front a tall and grand looking hotel.
"There you go miss," said the taxi driver, handing Roong her two large luggages.
She thanked the driver and paid him then, threw her Louis Vuitton bag over her shoulder and ran in the building. There were lots of people in the lobby. Everyone looked professional and Roong guessed that they were either tourists or business people. The lobby itself was also very beautifully decorated and clean. Roong grabbed a few welcome books by the entrance and walked over to the check in desk.
"This is going to be fun," said Roong to herself, with a smile.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A black Range Rover pulled up onto the marble driveway of an exquisite looking estate.
"Welcome home krub Khun Noo," said the driver, when the car parked.
"Thanks Rod," said Andy.
"My son!"
Khun Ying Nucharee nearly missed the last step as she flew into her son's arms. She kissed on both cheeks and hugged him tightly.
"I've missed you so much, Mom," said Andy.
"Oh I missed you too," said Nucharee. "My you've grown a lot!"
"And have gotten handsome too," added Michael Parker, Nucharee's husband, Andy's father.
"Thanks Dad," said Andy.
He stepped over to hug his father too.
"I get my good looks from both of you after all," said Andy, smiling.
Andy and Nucharee looked at each other and grinned. The servants and maids came out and down the steps to greet Andy. Bpa Yaem, the eldest maid, who was also Andy's nanny, approached Andy and squealed.
"My handsome Khun Noo!" she said.
Andy hugged her too.
"You seem to have gotten younger too," said Andy with a broad smile.
"No need to flatter me," said Bpa Yaem, playfully hitting him on the arm. "I'm old now."
Everyone laughed. It was a bright and sunny day and the weather was perfect. Andy's return home was a beautiful sight.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Roong's hotel suite was nothing like her bedroom at home but it was liveable. After putting everything away and organizing all of her belongings, her stomach growled again and even louder than last time.
"I shall go get something to eat," said Roong to herself. "Hmm...what should I have for dinner?"
It was already 7PM and Roong had been running on an empty stomach for the past seven hours. She had lunch on the plane but seemed as if it was ages ago.
By the time she had showered, changed, and put on makeup, it was already half past eight.
"My purse doesn't match my outfit," said Roong, standing in front the mirror.
And she found a matching purse in the closet. Roong dumped out everything from her black bag and crammed it inside her Louis Vuitton Speedy 40.
"There we go," she said with a smile.
After taking out a few unnecessary things from the Speedy 40 and tossing them on the bed, she adjusted her wavy brown hair one last time and winked at her reflection in the mirror. Perfect.

A nearby upscale and modern Italian restaurant caught Roong's attention. Without hesitating, she ordered the most appealing items on the menu and ate the whole thing. Many diners stared at her as she gobbled the food away by herself.
"Oho," said the young male server. "Would you care for any dessert?"
"Sure," said Roong. "Just bring out whatever is good."
"Uhh...
"Go on," said Roong, shooing him.
After dessert, her bill totaled 4,038 baht. Roong reached into her purse for her wallet but it was no where to be found.
"Hold on a second," she told the server. "It's in here somewhere."
She had a feeling that she must've accidentally left it on the bed back in her hotel room.
"Erm...I think I left my wallet at my hotel," Roong told the server, so that the nearby diners wouldn't hear.
It was embarrassing.
"Can I er...go to my room real quick and get it? asked Roong. "My hotel is around the corner."
"I'm sorry ma'am but you're not allowed to leave until you pay," said the server.
"I'll be right back," said Roong, making up her mind. "I'm going to go make a phone call. Where is your restroom?"
"Over there by the door," replied the server, pointing at the sign that said restroom.
"Oh," said Roong. "I'll be right back."
Instead of going to the restroom, she dashed outside and ran down the street. The server and manager were now running after her.
"Catch that girl!" they bellowed to the onlookers on the street.
Roong crashed with a complete stranger and the two fell backwards opposite each other.
"Sorry," said Roong quickly, to the young man.
He got up and grabbed Roong by the arm.
"Lemme go!" exclaimed Roong. "I'm in a life and death situation here!"
That server and restaurant manager were getting very close.
"Look, let me go now or you'll be very sorry in the future," snarled Roong.
"I'm sorry but I am not letting a thief go," said the young man.
"I'm not a thief!" shrieked Roong. "I am a...a...
"A what?" asked the young man.
"Hold that thief!" the restaurant manager called out.
He was approaching very fast. Roong didn't have time to explain now.
"I'm not a thief, you moron!" Roong yelled at the young man. "I'm going to go get my money to pay them now! You're just slowing me down!"
Finally, the server and restaurant manager caught up with Roong. The young man handed Roong over to them and straightened his suit jacket.
"Thank you sir," said the restaurant manager to the young man.
"No problem," said the young man. "How much does this little girl owe you?"
"I'm not a little girl!" shrieked Roong. "And I'm not a thief either!"
"4,038 baht," replied the server, answering the young man's question.
"What's your name young man?" asked the restaurant manager. "I'd like to thank you."
"I'm Sunny but you need not thank me," he smiled.
Sunny pulled out his wallet and handed the server a few billfolds.
"Keep the change," Sunny told him. "That's your tip."
"Thank you krub!" said the server happily.
"What the...
"What's this girl's relation to you?" the manager asked Sunny.
"Nothing at all," replied Sunny. "I don't want to see a clueless kid go to jail."
The manager let go of Roong's arm. He and the server returned to the restaurant.
"I'm not a kid!" yelled Roong. "I'm not a little girl or a thief either!"
"Look woman, I'm right here in front of you," said Sunny. "There is no need to scream."
Roong panted to catch to her breath. That was one tiring and unexpected hell of a run.
"So, where are you parents?" Sunny asked her. "How could they let you out like this...
"I'm not a kid anymore!" Roong bellowed.
"Yeah?" asked Sunny. "Well what are you?"
Roong smirked and fixed her hair.
"If I tell you, you'd probably pee in your pants," she said.
Sunny let out a fake laugh. He shook his head and opened the driver side door of his car. That's when Roong realized she needed a ride back to the hotel. There was no way she was going to walk back after that run. Her legs hurt. Her ankles hurt. And...she had no money on her.
"Wait," said Roong, closing his car door. "I er...uhm...
"No need to thank me," said Sunny, interrupting.
"I wasn't going to...I mean, I was going to...
"You need a ride," said Sunny.
He totally took the words out of her mouth. Roong nodded sheepishly and smiled.
"Get in," said Sunny, opening the passenger side of the door for her.
The blue Lotus Elise zoomed into the busy streets and headed towards Williams Hotel.

[CONTINUATION OF CHAPTER TWO]

Sunny drove up to the front entrance of the Williams Hotel, took off his shades, and tossed his car keys over to the valet guy.
"Hey you!" Roong called out.
Sunny turned around and put his hands on his hips.
"Yeah," he shrugged. "Is there anything else I can assist you with?"
"Aren't you going to open the door for me?" Roong asked him.
"Sorry but that's not my job," replied Sunny.
He winked at the valet guy, who immediately went over and opened the passenger side door for Roong.
"Take care of my car," Sunny told the valet guy.
"Krub, Khun Sun," the valet guy answered.
Roong ran to catch up with Sunny, who already walked into the hotel.
"Hey wait, that valet guy knows you?" Roong asked him.
He was walking very fast so she had to take wide steps to keep the same pace as him. Sunny didn't answer.
"Hey, I'm talking to you," said Roong, slightly raising her voice.
"I'm sorry but I have business to tend to," said Sunny, turning around.
They had reached the elevator.
"Well I simply asked a yes or no question," said Roong. "You can't take half a second to answer with one simple word?"
"Yes," replied Sunny. "What floor?"
"Huh?"
Roong was taken aback. He did not just ask her that.
"What?! I can't believe you're that type of guy!" exclaimed Roong, backing away from him as if he were a monster.
"Are you crazy or just plain dumb?" asked Sunny. "I meant to ask what floor you're staying on so I can press the right button."
"Oh," said Roong.
How embarrassing. She pressed the floor number herself.
"You stay at this hotel too?" Roong asked him.
Without looking, Sunny nodded.
"Small world," said Roong.
The lift had stopped and they reached Roong's floor.
"Bye," said Roong. "And thanks again...and oh!"
Roong pulled Sunny out of the lift.
"Hey! What are you doing?!" he exclaimed.
"I need to pay you back," said Roong. "Come on."
She still had her hand around his arm.

"Let go," said Sunny. "You don't need to pay me back."
"Too bad," said Roong. "I don't like owing people."
Sunny rolled his eyes and shook his head. He turned around and pressed the up button on the elevator.
"Fine," said Roong. "I don't like giving people my money either, anyway."
He ignored her and got into the lift when it opened.
"Goodbye," he smiled and waved as the lift door closed.
"Jerk," said Roong.
And she walked down the hall to her room.

Chapter Three

"Just in a few moments!"
Khun Ying Ornrawadee paced up down the airport excitedly and anxiously.
"Nee khun, calm down," said Khun Chai Warut, smiling. "He'll be shortly."
"If his flight hadn't been canceled yesterday, we'd be having breakfast together right now," said Ornrawadee.
Warut
put his arms around his wife and together, they scanned the oncoming
crowd from the gates in case their son was among the flock of passengers
who had just arrived.

A few feet away, Sunny glanced at his watch. His mother, Kaewphila, should be here any minute.

"Oops, excuse me."
Kaewphila
looked up at the handsome young man that had accidentally bumped into
her. He couldn't help it as the anxious passengers behind him were
pushing bodies through the gate.

"I'm so sorry ma'am," said Prarop, politely.
Kaewphila
thought he looked familiar but she couldn't remember where she had seen
him. He bent over and picked up her purse for her and smiled. Kaewphila
was sure that she had seen that smile somewhere too.

"Wait a minute," she said to Prarop. "Have met ever met before?"
Prarop looked unsure.
"Uhm...I don't think so," he replied.
"Prarop!"
Khun Ying Ornrawadee followed by Khun Chai Warut, rushed over to their son.
"Mom!" Sunny called out.
He walked at a fast pace towards his mother and greeted her with a charming smile.
"Finally," said Sunny.
"Well son, how is everything here?" asked Kaewphila.
"Great," replied Sunny. "Everything is good and orderly."
"That's good," said Kaewphila. "It is your father's wish to see you carry on his hotel business."
"Krub," said Sunny.
It
was already ten years since the Williams Hotel establishment and nine
years since Sunny's father, Jason, had passed away. Their hotel business
was very successful and since Sunny took over the CEO position two
years ago, Williams Hotel began to grow.

Kaewphila
looked over her shoulder to see if the young man named Prarop was still
there. However, he was nowhere in sight. Must've already left the
airport with his parents, Kaewphila thought to herself. She didn't know
why but Kaewphila had this strong feeling that she had seen him before.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"What?! Promote me?!"
Prarop
was shocked to learn about his parents' fast move. It had only been a
few hours since his return and his parents were already speaking of
work. Not only that, they wanted to make him CEO of the company.

"You have lots to learn," said his father, Khun Chai Warut.
"But I...
"I have faith in you," said Warut, putting one hand on his son's shoulder. "This whole business is yours."
Khun Ying Ornrawadee stood there and smiled as she watched.
"Tomorrow is your welcome back party," she said. "We'll announce the big news then. I'm sure everyone will support you."
"Chai,"
added his father. "And you must also go to the meeting with me this
afternoon. We have an appointment with Khun Tawan Williams, owner of
Williams Hotels. He is the youngest ever to own and operate such a
successful business. Advertising for him will benefit us greatly. It's a
win win situation. He gets more recognition and we earn more capital."

"Tawan Williams," repeated Prarop.
"If
I'm not mistaken he is probably a year or two younger than you," said
Ornrawadee. "Eh Khun Warut, we should invite Khun Chanon and his mother,
Khun Kaewphila to Prarop's welcome back party tomorrow."

Khun Chai Warut happily nodded.
"That would be a great opportunity to get to know our business partners," he said.
"Oh and don't forget that we must also go to Khun Chanon Parker's welcome party tonight too," added Ornrawadee.
"Who is that?" asked Prarop.
"Khun Michael and Khun Ying Nucharee's son," replied Ornrawadee. "Their son also returned from studying abroad yesterday."
"They own Parker Properties," said Warut. "We also advertise for them. I think their son, Chanon is also the same age as you."

Prarop nodded.
"And Khun Chanon's welcome party is tonight?" he asked.
"Yep," replied Ornrawadee. "Why don't you go shopping with me later today after your meeting with Khun Tawan."
"Gaw dee krub," Prarop nodded. "I haven't went shopping with you in a while. You should go too, Dad."
Khun Chai Warut shook his head.
"I have some work to tend to," he said. "I must prepare the agreement papers for Khun Tawan."
"If that's so, I'll meet up with Mom after the meeting," said Prarop.
"Okay," answered his father.

Chapter Three CONTINUED, 6 MARCH 2013

"Alright Mom, well there you are."
Sunny put his hands on his hips and smiled as he scanned the room carefully once more.
"Perfect," said Kaewphila, with a smile.
"My room is right next door," Sunny told his mother.
He set his mother's belongings on the bed for her and checked the time on his watch.
"12:40," he read aloud. "I've gotta go now. Get some rest, Mom. You need it."
"Are you sure you don't want me to go to the meeting with you?" she asked him.
"No, I'm fine," replied Sunny. "You should really get some rest so you will have the energy to go to the Parker's welcoming party with me tonight."
"A welcoming party," said Kaewphila. "Who's welcoming party?"
"I think it's for their son, Andy Parker, who just returned to Thailand from studying abroad," replied Tawan.
"Andy Parker," repeated Kaewphila.
She sighed.
"Alright then, off you go to your meeting," she said. "You don't want to be late for this. A deal with Thepborisut Advertising is crucial for our hotel business to grow and prosper."
"Krub," replied Sunny. "See you later, Mom. I love you."
Kaewphila smiled as she watched Sunny leave the room. Even though he was all grown up, he was still and always will be her baby. She had watched him grow into a wonderful and perfect young man.
"Your father would've been proud," said Kaewphila to herself.
She had remembered the day her husband, Jason, passed away. If he could only see their successful hotel business now. Sunny had taken it to a whole new level.
Kaewphila's life had changed drastically since she met Jason and had Sunny. She was more than thankful but she still wasn't happy. Throughout the course of 24 years, Kaewphila had very much missed her twin sons that she had left behind at that orphanage in Thailand. Even though she had the ability to track them down, the task was almost impossible because there were no records of her boys. Nevertheless, she didn't give up hope and this was one of the reasons that she had once again returned to her homeland.

Roong closed her door shut and put her keycard in her purse. She walked down the hall to the elevator and took it down to the second floor. It was only last night that she learned there was a really yummy and fancy restaurant called the Bleu located within the hotel. The thought of it made her salivate. Sure the food the night before at that restaurant down the street from the hotel was good too but forgetting her wallet and cash to pay her tab was embarassing and just made her whole dining experience unpleasant. On top of all that, the jerk who "helped" her just made things even worse.
The elevator door opened and Roong walked out as if she were a model on a red carpet.
"Excuse me, krub," said a polite male voice.
Roong turned around and a good looking gentleman in a tux handed a key card to her.
"Yours," he said. "You dropped it while ago."
"Oh," said Roong.
How embarassing.
"Thank you," she said taking the key card from him.
Roong put it back safely in her purse once again and continued to make her way towards the Bleu restaurant. The young handsome gentleman was following her. She turned around and looked at him.
"Why are you following me?" she asked him in a polite tone.
"I'm not following you," he laughed. "I'm going into the restaurant."
"Oh," said Roong. "I'm going there too."
"Really?" he asked. "Is it yummy?"
"It should be but I don't know for sure," replied Roong. "This is my first time coming here."
"Me too," said the young gentleman. "For a modern, upscale, five star hotel, this restaurant shouldn't be a let down."
Roong smiled. He opened the door for her.
"After you, miss," he said with a smile.
"Thanks," she said, stepping into the restaurant.
Inside was dimly lit and as the young gentleman said, it was definitely modern and upscale like the hotel.
"Pretty nice, huh?" said the young gentleman.
"Yeah," replied Roong.
A young female host approached them with a smile.
"For two?" she asked Roong and the young gentleman.
"Oh no," answered Roong quickly. "We didn't come together. I mean we didn't...
"I am here to meet Khun Tawan Parker," the young gentleman told the host.
"Oh, you must be Khun Prarop," said the host. "This way, ka."
Prarop stood there and turned to Roong.
"Uh, I think you should seat her first," Prarop told the host.
"Why?" asked Roong. "Don't you have a reservation?"
"Krub," replied Prarop. "But ladies are always first."
Roong smiled and turned to the host, who immediately grabbed a menu and led the way. What a charming gentleman, Roong thought to herself. He definitely reminded her of Andy, the other young gentleman she had met on the plane a two days ago. The two guys somewhat shared a resemblance to each other.
The host seated Roong at a cozy corner at a small table for two accompanied by two red velvet sofas on either sides. Roong sat at the sofa closer to the wall where she could see the other side of the nice little restaurant. A few feet away, she immediately spotted the guy that helped her the night before. How is it that this guy is everywhere and always crossing paths with her?! Roong decided to ignore him. She grabbed the menu in front of her and flipped through it.

"Sawadee krub, sorry I'm late," said Prarop, taking a seat next to his father and opposite his business partner, Tawan Parker aka Sunny.
"You're not late," said Sunny. "Just in time. I've ordered a really delicious crab appetizer for you guys to try."
"You are definitely a talented young man," said Warut Thepborisut to Sunny. "Within only a few years, you are able to capture worldwide attention with your hotel."
"Actually the work is owed to my late father," said Sunny. "I am just working towards making his dream come true."
"Well you're doing splendid job," said Warut. "Anyways, as you may have already known, this is my son Prarop Thepborisut."
Prarop and Sunny shook hands.
"Welcome back to Thailand," said Sunny to Prarop. "I heard that you just returned this morning."
"Yes, I did," answered Prarop nodding his head.
"How did you like America?" Sunny asked.
"It was a great experience, very diverse and interesting," replied Prarop.
"Aren't you an American?" Warut asked Sunny.
"Yes, I am actually," replied Sunny. "My father is American and my mother is Thai. I was born and raised in America the majority of my life. After my father founded this hotel though, we've been coming and going back and forth. But now, I am officially a Thai citizen as well."
"Oh that's nice," said Warut. "This hotel business needs you."
Sunny smiled. The server had brought out the crab appetizer and placed in the middle of their table.
"Come on, let's try this new appetizer recipe," said Sunny to the Thepborisuts.
"Mhmm it's very delicious," said Warut.
"Really good," agreed Prarop.
"This menu item is actually a highlight of our restaurant," said Sunny.
"Well it definitely deserves the recognition," said Warut.
"Not just the restaurant but also the hotel," added Prarop.
Sunny laughed.
"About that," he began. "Our business deal is then...finalized?"
"Only if you entrust us with the honor of making your hotel business more well known," replied Warut.
"I most certainly am anticipating this," said Sunny.
"We will sign the contract papers after dinner then," said Warut.
"Yes, of course," said Sunny.
Lunch was served later along with the restaurant's fine wines followed by dessert. Finally, the signing of their business contract. Sunny carefully and beautifully imprinted his signature on the high quality paper. He capped his pen and stuffed it back into place of his front jacket pocket.
"And that's that," he smiled brightly.
They all shook hands and everything was settled.
Walking out, Prarop suddenly remembered the young woman that he had met earlier that walked into the restaurant with him. He wondered if she had left yet.
"What is it?" asked his father, Warut.
Prarop shook his head.
"Nothing Dad," he replied. "I'm gonna go meet up with Mom now. Are you going with me?"
"I don't think so," replied Khun Chai Warut. "I think I'll go to the company and look over some paperwork regarding our contract with Khun Tawan. I want to make sure everything is smooth and perfect."
"Krub," replied Prarop.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

While driving to Central Plaza, Prarop called his mother to tell her that he was on the way.
"Where are you anyway?" he added.
"I just got here honey," she replied. "I'm looking at some new ties for you and your father."
"Why?" he asked.
Prarop cracked a smile.
"Because you both need a new tie," she replied.
Prarop smiled and told her okay. Whatever. He shook his head and kept driving.

When he got there, Prarop ran into the busy mall and accidentally crashed into a stranger. She fell to the floor and her shopping bags were all over the place.
"Are you blind or what?!" she looked up at him angrily.
Prarop apologized and tried to help her up.
"Don't touch me!" she said in a shrill tone.
Well gee. He only wanted to help.
"I'm sorry," he said and squatted down to pick up her shopping bags.
She seized them from his hands and shot a mean look at his face. Then, she picked up her phone.
"My screen!" she shrieked.
Her iPhone screen was cracked at the top on the front facing camera.
"I'm sorry," said Prarop. "I was in a hurry...
"Forget it!" she bellowed. "Because I'm in a hurry too!"
She straightened her hair, grabbed her purse off the floor and trotted away.
"Hey wait!" Prarop called out after her.
She was soon out of sight. Prarop met up with his mother at a men's store.
"Mom," he said, walking up behind her.
"Oh, there you are," she said. "How's this one?"
She held up the royal blue tie before him.
"It's nice," said Prarop.
"How about this one?"
She held up another golden yellow one.
"Sure," said Prarop.
"Well which one do you like?" Khun Ying Ornrawadee asked her son.
"Whichever is fine," he replied. "You pick."
His mother made a face and shook her head.
"We'll take both of them then," she said. "It think this royal blue one suits your father and the golden yellow is more you."
"Okay," Prarop agreed.
Khun Ying Ornrawadee paid for the two ties and they left the store.
"So how was the meeting?" she asked Prarop.
"It was actually great," replied Prarop. "Pleasant lunch and smooth meeting. Our client, Khun Tawan is actually pretty laid back and a cool, straight up guy."
"That's nice," said Khun Ying Ornrawadee. "How about the deal?"
"Well we signed it and Dad is in the process of looking over the paperworks now," replied Prarop.
"That's wonderful," said his mother. "You must learn from your father. He's a hard worker and dedicated guy."
"Krub," Prarop smiled. "That's why you fell in love with him right?"
"Baa," said Khun Ying Ornrawadee, blushing.
They went into another store, Versace, where Khun Ying immediately recognized a young woman who had just emerged from the fitting rooms.
"Aow, Noo Lada," said Khun Ying smiling.
It was the same exact young woman that Prarop had crashed into earlier.
"Nathlada," said Prarop.
"Chai, this is Nathlada," said his mother, introducing the young lady to Prarop. "Don't you remember her? You two used to play together when you were little."
"You're Nathlada?" Prarop asked shocked.
"This is...
"Prarop, don't you remember Ta Rop?" Khun Ying asked Nathlada.
"P'Rop," said Nathlada. "You're P'Rop?"
"Krub," replied Prarop.
He smiled at her....and she smiled back.

"It was an accident."
Prarop explained his clashing with Nathlada earlier to his mother.
"Good thing you two didn't fight," said Khun Ying. "You used to tease Noo Lada all the time."
"We didn't have time to," said Lada jokingly. "P'Rop said he was in a hurry and I was in a hurry myself."
"In a hurry to where?" asked Khun Ying.
"To pick up my mother from the hair salon," replied Nathlada. "She's getting ready to go to the Parker's party tonight."
"You mean Khun Chanon Parker's welcoming back party?" asked Khun Ying. "Why of course! I forgot you are Khun Ying Nucharee's niece!"
Of course she is! Prarop had forgotten about it too. Nathlada and Chanon are cousins!
