ok im a lazy bum lol can someone tell me if what im thinking about the title is right or wrong? i know someone prolly post it back in the other pages but lols lazy me

Raerai Luk Sao Bah is it suppose to come out as Raerai Luk Chao Bah? as in the Sao is pronounced Chao?

I don't think so.
This is the title in Thai (เรไรลูกสาวป่า)
Raerai Luk Sao Bah.

Doesn't Chao means morning?? it wouldn't make sense.
IF it's translated to english it would be ---Raerai, child of morning forest.

nooooooooooooooo lol Chao like as in "Chao Baan" you know lol; I derno cause I'm use to hearing that word being said Ch-ao and I guess I assumed that Sao is the isan way of saying Chao;


-Edit Ok I get it now LOL after carefully reading it's meant as in daughter of like "Look Sao" I got confused there for a bit because I thought they were trying to say "Look Chao" Bpa because in laos when my parents say Chao as in Chao Baan they say it Sao Baan lol; so I guess thats where it confused me >.O

I am quite surprised! I was going through some clips, and I really want to watch this lakorn! I absolutely love lakorns made in this kind of setting. I love the intro and outro song to this lakorn! Alexandra can sing so well! I love her! Hopefully there will be a lot of her songs in here. Cee is actually really cute in here! Nam is, too! I am kind of excited to watch this lakorn, regardless that I do not really like the pairing =)

I love this lakorn so far, some parts just hilarious, I especially like that part she bark like a dog HAHAHAHAHA :loool: Mad prop for Tina and Vannida for having the episode up so quickly, looking forward to more episode. :lol:

Also, Alexandra and Cee actually looks good together, not as great as with Weir, but none-the-less they still make a cute couple. :p :lol: Can't wait for next episode. :D

I think all language are beautiful! It is how the listener(s) interpret the language or words that came out itself :)

There are so many different dialects of Lao and/or Isan though hehe so, I am assuming Thidavanh (Alexandra) will never get props from you until she spokes the same Lao as what your family spoke (Mostly use in Laos is Lao Vieng aka Central Lao language). Which part of Laos is your family from? Nam only spoke like few words in Lao and/or Isan hehe still gave credit(s) to him hehe However, Nam is very good at Lumvong Lao...his body & hands are very "on" "soft" "smooth" hehe I think his Lumvong Lao is better than Weir hehe

As for other characters in there that speak Lao/Thai Issan I didn't find their way of speaking or accent being poorly speaking at all, in fact is perfectly the way they speak them. Issan language does varies with different tone/accent and dialet depending on which part of Issan they're from.
My Dad's family speak exactly the same dialet/accent as the man that played as the monk in the lakorn. And some of his other relatives have dialet/accent similar to Rome P. accent.

As for Nam speaking some Issan in there... I think they just throw it in there for laugh, he didn't really speak Issan, but just regular Thai.




*EDIT* Oh I'm responding to Lynda's post ... and I agreeing with you Chonny. :D

No, it's not Vientiane dialect. It's actually Savannaket area dialect. I think.

In Savannaket and in the surround areas of Savannaket, we like to use EE-Mae, which means Mom. We like to add the "EE" to the title of Father and mother. In Vientiane they don't do that.

I can tell the difference and I'm not used to it. When she speaks, she has an accent: a foreigner's accent.
Oh well lets get over it. If you like it, I'm glad. If you don't like it, it's okay too.

:D Sorry Lynda I didn't mean to disagreeing with you. I just thought I should point it out that's all. Nothing serious, just normal discussion/conversation and something to talk about ... we're cool, I hope ;) , I apologize if it offended you.

But as for using "ee" infront of "mae", there is not specific area/part of Laos that use them... all part use it... it's just depend on the individual and/or family whether they'd use it or not. I don't use "ee" infront when calling my mom, but my mom's sister kids... they all call their mom with 'ee' infront. And there is no right or wrong way, it's just part of our language, that's what special and unique about language. That is also part of our individual uniqueness too whether we agree with one another or not... we still special in our own ways. So yes let's be cool about it. :)

Girl, I wasn't offended. :) I don't get offended easily when it comes to these types of thing. I've never felt that you attacked me.
It's actually all good. :)

I've noticed that a lot of people use it more so in Savannaket than in Vientiane. I live in America, what do I know.
It's kinda funny, I think I speak perfect lao but when I got over to Laos, they have no idea what I'm saying. HAHA>
I can understand exactly what they are saying but I just can't get my pronunciations right.
The same thing with thai, I can barely speak it but I understand it completely.
I think Alexandra might be going through the same thing.

:lol: That is just funny, lol, but hey no big deal, I thought my english speaking is not so bad, but sometime American just don't get me either HAHAHA :loool: :p

As long as we have something in common and that is the love of lakorn, I guess we can speak and understand the same universal language. :yahoo:
