* For ppl interested, here is a summary (well long haha) of the history of Laos, credited to my master thesis.
Corrections! The Kingdom of LanXang (1st Unified Kingdom) was split into 3 separate Kingdoms (i.e Luang Prabang (Northern), Viengchanh (Central), and Champassak (Southern). The lack of unity made the Kingdoms weak, etc etc etc.
In my humble opinion, when thesis paper or any papers started off with inaccurate information, people seems to not wanting to continue reading; especially if individuals have great knowledge in such subject matter. However, for those who do not then they will be mislead.
I do appreciate your time of sharing the history of Laos with us! When I have time I will continue to read the rest.

Well, there are 3 kingdoms, thus each elephant can represent each kingdom and the white parasol is to unified 3 kingdoms together. Furthermore, the 3 headed elephants are the symbol of greatness, wisdom and a vehicle.Laos used to be called Lan Xang (Land of 1 million elephants). But I am still curious about the three headed elephant flag because I thought I heard something about it before, but don't remember the story of it.
I agree with the correction but I kinda found the second comment unnecessary. But then again, it is your opinion.* For ppl interested, here is a summary (well long haha) of the history of Laos, credited to my master thesis.

This brings a question up, if you do not learn from writings of another, how do you possibly learn? Experience? Verbal communication? And are you to believe 100% that someone is actually telling you the truth? Eh, this is life, and people loves to brag.Corrections!
